Bokaro is the education hub of Jharkhand. Students from neighbouring states and district flood Bokaro for procuring quality education. Keeping this in view Sree Ayyappa Public School, Bokaro Steel City was established in the year 1988 by some dedicated Ayyappa Seva Sangham Members for providing better education opportunities, social service societies, etc for mass Development and Facilities for any other activities as and when decided for the purpose/purposes of the Ayyappa Seva Sangham

Amidst serene surroundings lies the school which is parting quality education and providing the best of facilities for the students at large. The school is catering to students upto a radius of 20 kilometres. The school is imparting holistic education and has vision of raising socially responsible global citizens. The school aims that the children grow up as individuals who are morally upright, emotionally balanced, culturally integrated, socially aware and spiritually oriented. This is an English medium co-educational school affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi and its first session began on 27" June 1988. The school is managed by the members of Ayyappa Seva Sangham and other nominated personalities from SAIL, Bokaro. In this city Sangham is a linguistic minority, but it’s services of the school are dedicated to the benefit of all person irrespective of social or religious consideration.

As on date, the school has 5000+ students enrolled from classes Pre-Nursery to Class XII and 200+ staff members. Sree Ayyappa Public School after getting established as one of the leading senior secondary school in the state have had immense successes.

Many of the passed outs of Sree Ayyappa Public School have recorded sterling performance in the professional courses like IIT, Civil Service Examination, CBSE Medicals & Engineering, NDA etc. etc.

In the year 2012 &2019, looking at the huge demand and need of the hour the management decided to expand the existing school building and started new wings the +2 wing & the Primary wing respectively.

The infrastructure of the school is very conductive to learning for students. The classrooms are spacious and equipped with smart class facilities, internet facilities, computers, modern play garden, play station for small kids etc. highly talented teachers with dedication provide a rich academic experience both culturally and spiritually.



Social Standing of Ayyappa Seva Sangham (Running and Governing the School)

The School is a manifestation of one of the major objectives of Ayyappa Seva Sangham and the aim is to provide the citizens of the Steel City and those from other places of India, a system of thorough education for their children for their integral and personal formation and to enable them become self- confident, self-reliant, useful & dutiful citizens of their motherland ‘India’. Other than the school the Sangham have following important objectives:

  1. 1. To promote and encourage advancement of literacy, cultural, scientific, environmental and technical education at minimal cost. To establish charitable schools, colleges, libraries, vocational and technical training centres, study and research centres, etc. with a view to promote higher academic ability and to develop competitive merit among the people.


  2. 2. To work for the social welfare, health and family welfare of the society, empowerment of women and abolition of child labour. To organize & establish health centres and camps, first aid training, AIDS awareness program. For downtrodden people and also for physically handicapped persons, etc. Work for raising consciousness among people in the matter of rural sanitation, disease control, etc. To bring awareness and promote active participation of people in public health programmes.


  3. 3. To work for environment protection through plantation, water harvesting, like programmes. To arrange Seminar, Symposium, Workshop. Publish and circulate journal, magazine, pamphlet, etc. for the purpose of awareness of the people.


  4. 4. To start, establish, run, take over or manage and maintain school/ schools, with an object to provide sound pre-primary, primary, middle, secondary, senior secondary and higher education to children by seeking recognition.


  5. 5. To promote literacy, cultural and other social activities by Awareness Programmes, Exhibitions, Symposiums, Adult Education Classes, Lectures, Essay Competitions, Cultural Programmes, Press Conferences and seminars.
