38th FOUNDATION DAY CELEBRATION
"THIRTY-EIGHT YEARS OF LIGHTING MINDS, NURTURING HEARTS, AND INSPIRING DREAMS"
Sree Ayyappa Public School celebrated its 38th Foundation Day with immense enthusiasm, grandeur, and glory on 27th June 2026. The entire campus resonated with joy and festivity as students, teachers, parents, alumni, and dignitaries gathered to commemorate another glorious year in the institution's journey of excellence.
The festivities began with the traditional welcome of guests with Tilak and bouquets — a gesture that symbolized reverence and the promise of a greater tomorrow. The sacred Lamp Lighting Ceremony, followed by resonant Shloka Chanting, dispelled the darkness of ignorance and illuminated the path of wisdom, much like the dawn that gently awakens the earth after a long night.
The atmosphere grew vibrant as students rendered a melodious Welcome Song, their voices flowing like a gentle stream, filling every corner of the auditorium with warmth and happiness. The ceremonial cake cutting, accompanied by the cheerful birthday song, became a moment where memories of the past embraced dreams of the future, celebrating thirty-eight glorious years of an institution that has been a lighthouse guiding generations of learners.
In her inspiring address, Principal Mrs. P Shailaja Jayakumar eloquently reflected on the school's illustrious journey and remarkable achievements. She emphasized, "Every work must be done with excellence," reminding students that excellence is not a destination but a continuous voyage powered by dedication, sincerity, and perseverance.
The cultural segment was a splendid showcase of talent and devotion. Students of Classes III to V presented a vibrant and energetic rendition of Hanuman Chalisa, beautifully choreographed by Arpita Ghosh and Anamika Jha, which captivated the audience with its spiritual fervour. This was followed by an enthralling and energetic Goanese Dance, adding colour and rhythm to the celebrations. Earlier, a graceful performance of Mohiniyattam, choreographed by Shilpa. S, enchanted the audience with the elegance and classical charm of Kerela.
The Prize Distribution Ceremony stood as a shining constellation of achievements. Academic toppers from Classes I to XII, subject toppers, and achievers in JEE Main and JEE Advance were honoured for their dedication and perseverance. Their success stories glittered like stars in the school's ever-expanding galaxy of excellence, inspiring countless others to dream fearlessly and strive tirelessly.
A deeply touching moment of the celebration was the felicitation of Mr. Sanjay Sharma. for completing 25 years of dedicated service. His unwavering commitment has been like a steady flame, illuminating countless lives and strengthening the very foundation of the institution.
The Achievers Awards for Classes I to V and the Scholar Badges and Certificates for Classes VI to XII recognized not only academic brilliance but also the spirit of determination and hard work that transforms aspirations into accomplishments.
In his inspiring Foundation Day message, Chairman Mr. P. Rajagopal remarked that Sree Ayyappa Public School has always stood as a beacon of knowledge, discipline, and character-building. He urged students to dream big, work hard, and uphold the values instilled by the institution. Vice Chairmen Mr. Saseendran Karat, Mr. Mohanan R. Nair, General Secretary Mr. E. S. Suseelan, Treasurer Mr. Balachandran, Director Board Member Dr. Suresh Babu & Mr. Suresh Kumar K.A., were motivation & encouragement by their presence and applause.
Director Dr. S. S. Mahapatra, in his thought-provoking address, emphasized that education is the most precious investment one can make—a lamp that burns brighter when shared. He encouraged students to pursue excellence with courage, compassion, and curiosity, shaping themselves into responsible citizens and compassionate human beings.
The celebration concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks by Vice Principal Mr. Suresh Babu, whose words echoed gratitude to every individual who contributed to the school's glorious journey. As the strains of the National Anthem filled the air, hearts swelled with pride and eyes sparkled with hope.
